12 New PURE Solids Colors from Art Gallery Fabrics – October 2022

For the second time this year, Art Gallery Fabrics will be releasing new PURE solids colors. In mid-October, 12 new colors will be available in stores.

These new colors fill in gaps in the existing AGF PURE solids line-up and I think they are great additions. First up, we have three new neutrals: one dark gray and a dark blue grey, Lava Rock and Slate and two browns, Teak and Pampas. These neutrals will be a great backdrop to highlight your AGF prints or just to make a cozy two-tone quilt. Next, we have muted desert-inspired shades of sage green, Meditation, dusky green, Balsam Fir and rosy clay-colored, Sedona. Known for saturated solids, AGF is branching out into earthy and sophisticated colors like these. Don’t worry, saturated colors are still being added to the line-up like golden citrine of Pineapple, green as vibrant as its inspiration, Parrot, and tropical magenta, Hibiscus. Lastly, a pair of purples round out the last of the dozen new colors. Cosmos, a dark lavender, and Bougainvillea, a purple as gorgeous as its inspiration from a native South American vine.

Inspired by my Grandmother’s lilac bushes, the trio of Meditation, Cosmos and Bougainvillea will bring a calming atmosphere to your sewing room and your home. These soft purples and light sage would be perfect for a more traditional quilt, perhaps an Irish chain or even a vintage basket block quilt.

This tropical rainforest palette of Hibiscus, Pineapple and Parrot, transports you to a Hawaiian island. Vibrant colored flora and persistent sounds of fauna surround a peaceful moment on the beach with a pina colada. It doesn’t take much imagination to daydream this relaxing moment. This trio could be used in a modern medallion quilt or combine it with beautiful florals.
